The Covid-19 lockdowns the country has been under has affected many small businesses this year, including us.
When looking at when we can re-open, we have taken into careful consideration the current tier system and the proximity of an outbreak of Avian bird flu
We do not want to encourage visitors from the neighbouring counties in the higher tier 3 into Rutland to visit Rutland Farm Park.
An outbreak of Avian bird flu has been identified in Melton Mowbray. The authorities have implemented a 3km protection zone and a 10km surveillance zone along with the introduction of bio security measures for all premises keeping poultry. These procedures make admitting the general public rather problematic
On reflection of the above issues we have decided to keep Rutland Farm Park closed for December and January 2021, after which time we will review the ongoing situation.
Please continue to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for animal updates and news.

Thank you for the support you have given us in this very strange 2020 and we all look forward to welcoming visitors back easter 2021
